Epic Games Store - What's Free Now?

Pikuniku is free on the Epic Games Store from 1st October 2020! Before you pick it up, here’s what I think about it.

Here are the games currently free of charge on the Epic Games Store. These are typically only around for a week, so if you see anything you like the look of you’d better move fast before they disappear!

Epic Games Store: Free Games – 1st October 2020

Pikuniku

Pikuniku is an adventure/platformer that is super cute. It’s got some cute characters and a storyline that isn’t quite as wholesome as the aesthetic would make you think. The art style is super simple, but I think it’s also absolutely adorable. It came out at the start of 2019 (I thought it was longer ago than that, but 2020 has been 50 years long so far) and has already been free on Twitch, so if you missed it already this is a great chance to pick up a game that’s suitable for almost everyone!

I was expecting another game this week, to get back to the stronger lineup we saw in the summer. That said, anyone who knows me and my love for the indie game knows that I don’t have a problem with Pikuniku. The problem I have is that it’s been out for a while and has already been free on other platforms. So the only reason to grab it here is if you don’t have it somewhere else or you just want to bump your EGS library. At least it’s a good one!
