Epic Games Store - What's Free Now?

Hitman & Shadowrun Collection are free on the Epic Games Store from 27th August 2020! Before you pick them up, here’s what I think about them.

Here are the games currently free of charge on the Epic Games Store. These are typically only around for a week, so if you see anything you like the look of you’d better move fast before they disappear!

Epic Games Store: Free Games – 27th August 2020

Hitman

Hitman (as if you don’t know by now) is an awesome, free-form sandbox where you can use any means necessary to assassinate your targets. Stealth ususally isn’t my thing, but Hitman does everything right. And there’s no fixed way to do it, so everything is allowed. From straight up sniper kills to the waiting game of poisoning a target or making them go to the bathroom, you really can play this however you want to. It benefits from multiple play throughs, to learn the fixed timing of everyone’s movements, but it’s definitely worth it. And the GOTY edition adds even more missions and even more ways to kill!

Shadowrun Collection

I’ve had the Shadowrun games for years but never really played them. Which is strange, because a cyberpunk turn-based tactical RPG (think Syndicate meets XCOM) seems like just my kind of thing. And with this being the Collector’s Edition, it includes both the Dragonfall and Hong Kong expansions. Maybe it’s time for me to go back and try it!
