Epic Games Store - What's Free Now?

Into the Breach is free on the Epic Games Store from 3rd September 2020! Before you pick it up, here’s what I think about it.

Here are the games currently free of charge on the Epic Games Store. These are typically only around for a week, so if you see anything you like the look of you’d better move fast before they disappear!

Into The Breach

Into the Breach is a turn-based strategy game from the makers of FTL and from what I’ve heard it’s really good. Each of the battles takes place in a city, meaning the maps themselves are pretty small, but with a lot of unique features you can exploit. The enemies telegraph their move for the next turn, giving you a lot of opportunity to plan unique attacks and trap them into damaging each other or totally missing your units. I haven’t played it yet, but I’ve seen a lot of people talking about it over the last couple of years, so I’m looking forward to getting my hands on it!

I’m not sure why we’re only getting one game this week, but at least it’s a good one. Next week’s games are looking positive as well – Railway Empire (which I’ve played and is good) and Where the Water Tastes Like Wine, which I’ve heard some great things about.
