Epic Games Store - What's Free Now?

Epic Games Store is currently giving away a couple of games for free every Thursday. Here’s what games are on offer from 2nd July 2020!

Here are the games currently free of charge on the Epic Games Store. These are typically only around for a week, so if you see anything you like the look of you’d better move fast before they disappear!

Epic Games Store: Free Games – 2nd July 2020

Conan Exiles

Conan Exiles seems like a weird addition to the EGS library. It’s an online open world survival game that’s been on Steam for years, and it hasn’t aged that well. In an era where there are a million open world survival and building games out there, I don’t think this would have got the traction it did without the Conan brand attached to it. But hey, the developers are still updating it and it’s free, so give it a shot I guess.

Edit: Epic Games has decided not to make Conan Exiles available for free and has delayed the EGS launch but they have not given a reason.

I found out that Trackmania is free on EGS, so you could grab that instead.

That’s more like it. Hue is a 2D platformer with puzzle elements built around colour coding. By swapping between certain colours you can change the world around you. For example, choose purple and any purple objects disappear into the background, opening paths or creating platforms. Clever. It’s clearly inspired by Braid and won countless awards when it came out. That was in 2016, but it still holds up now.
